Crompton Greaves completes acquisition of GTV business

With reference to the earlier announcement dated July 26, 2006, informing that the company had concluded an arrangement for acquisition of the Transformers, Gas insulated Switchgear (GIS), Rotating Machines and Contracting business of Ganz Transelektro Villamossagi Zrt. (GTV) together with the business of Transverticum Kft (TV) engaged in the supporting area of design, erection, commissioning and commercial activity, both located in Hungary.

Crompton Greaves Ltd has announced that as of October 17, 2006 all necessary documentation and formalities with respect to the above acquisition have been completed, and this acquisition is now effective.
