Bajaj Auto reports 20% YoY fall in April 2022 sales volume

Bajaj Auto Limited has announced the sales performance for the month of April 2022. The company has reported total sales of 310,774 units in April 2022 as against 388,016 units in April 2021, registering a drop of 20% YoY. The company clocked exports sales of 208,597 units during April 2022, 18% lower than 253,545 units in April 2021. The domestic sales declined 24% YoY to 102,177 in April 2022 as against 134,471 units in April 2021.

Commercial Vehicles sales dropped 27% YoY to 29,063 units in April 2022, as compared to 39,843 in April 2021. Exports of Commercial Vehicles was at 20,119 units in April 2022, as against 31,942 in April 2021. Domestic sales of Commercial Vehicles increased 13% in April 2022 to 8,944 units as compared to 7,901 units in April 2021.

The company has sold 281,711 units of two-wheelers during April 2022, as compared to 348,173 in April 2021, a drop of 19% YoY. Exports of motorcycles was down 15% YoY at 188,478 in April 2022, as against 221,603 in April 2021. The domestic sales of motorcycles declined 26% YoY to 93,233 units in April 2022 as compared to 126,570 units in April 2021.

Shares of Bajaj Auto Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 3624.50 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 3727.05. The total number of shares traded during the day was 12666 in over 1844 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 3730.00 and intraday low of 3608.30. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 46154200.00.
