Ashok Leyland posts 17% YoY increase in sales during March 2022

Ashok Leyland Limited has reported sales figures for the month of March 2022. The company has reported 17% YoY increase in sales during March 2022 at 20123 units as against 17231 units in March 2021. Domestic sales grew 18% in March 2022 at 18556 units as compared to 15761 units in March 2021.
LCV sales was flat at 6133 units in March 2022 as against 6130 units in March 2021. Domestic LCV sales decreased 1% YoY to 5822 units during March 2022, as compared to 5860 units in March 2021.
M&HCV sales increased 26% YoY to 13990 units in March 2022, as against 11101 units in March 2021. M&HCV bus sales was down 12% YoY to 1268 units in March 2022 as compared to 1437 units in March 2021. M&HCV Trucks sales was up 32% YoY at 12722 units during March 2022, as against 9664 units in March 2021.
Domestic M&HCV sales during March 2022 was up 29% YoY at 12734 units, as compared to 9901 units in March 2021. Domestic sales of M&HCV trucks was up 39% to 12161 units in March 2022 as against 8774 units in March 2021. The domestic sales of M&HCV Bus dropped 49% to 573 units in March 2022, as compared to 1127 units in March 2021.
Total sales during the period April 2021 to March 2022 (FY2022) was at 128326 units, growth of 27% YoY as against 100715 units during the period April 2020 to March 2021 (FY2021).
Total M&HCV sales during the period April 2021 to March 2022 (FY2022) was at 73885 units, an increase of 43% YoY as against 51807 units during the period April 2020 to March 2021 (FY2021).
Total LCV sales during the period April 2021 to March 2022 (FY2022) was at 54441 units, up by 11% YoY as compared to 48908 units during the period April 2020 to March 2021 (FY2021).
Shares of Ashok Leyland Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 119.10 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 117.25. The total number of shares traded during the day was 1172860 in over 10388 trades.
