Hero MotoCorp strengthens its partnership with Delhi Police

In keeping with its unwavering commitment to Diversity & inclusion (D&I) and Safety, Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, presented 215 Pleasure 110cc scooters to the Delhi Police Department today, in a special ceremony organised on the occasion of International Women's Day.

Launched under the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform Hero We Care, these scooters have been equipped with sirens, traffic lights, and public announcement (PA) systems, and other essential police accessories. The Pleasure scooters will be used by police officers to conduct active patrols in the city, ensuring the safety and security of women of Delhi.

Mr. Bharatendu Kabi, Head - Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Head - Corporate Communication, Hero MotoCorp, handed over the scooters to officers of Delhi Police Department in presence of Shri Rakesh Asthana, Police Commissioner of Delhi, senior police officers and officials of Hero MotoCorp.

Appreciating Hero MotoCorp's initiative, Shri Rakesh Asthana, Police Commissioner of Delhi said, "The association of Delhi Police with Hero MotoCorp goes back a long way, and these scooters are a sign of the deep appreciation the company has for the hard work put in by police officials. These scooters will be mostly used by our lady officers in the field in ensuring utmost safety and security of women in the city. Such initiatives encourage the police to carry out the work of law enforcement and keeping both themselves safe and the streets safer for the people."

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bharatendu Kabi, Head - Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Corporate Communication, said "As a responsible corporate, Hero MotoCorp is committed to promote Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) and Road Safety. We are glad to partner with Delhi Police in assisting them in ensuring the safety and security of women in Delhi. These scooters have been specially quipped with add-on accessories to meet policing requirements."

Till date, Hero MotoCorp through its association with state police departments of 11 Indian states including - Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Telangana, Haryana, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Karnataka, Orissa and Madhya Pradesh and two Union Territories - New Delhi and Puducherry has handed over thousands of motorcycles and scooters to police departments and has empowered many police officers under its CSR program - Hero We Care.

Shares of Hero MotoCorp Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 2199.60 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 2312.70. The total number of shares traded during the day was 97734 in over 15297 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 2300.00 and intraday low of 2170.65. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 215769276.00.
