SIAM appoints Mr Vinod Aggarwal as its new Vice President

The Executive Committee of Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the apex body of the Indian automobile industry, has elected Mr Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO, VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV) as its new Vice President for the current year 2021-22. VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV) is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited.

Mr Vipin Sondhi, MD & CEO, Ashok Leyland Limited served as the Vice President of SIAM from September 2020 till date. Change in Vice Presidentship has been done due to the resignation of Mr Vipin Sondhi from his position at Ashok Leyland.

Mr Kenichi Ayukawa, President SIAM said, "We thank Mr Vipin Sondhi for his valuable and active contribution and leadership as Vice President of SIAM, and wish him all the best for his future endeavours. We welcome Mr Vinod Aggarwal as the Vice-President. He is an old hand at SIAM and has led as the Treasurer."

Shares of Eicher Motors Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 2462.35 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 2472.45. The total number of shares traded during the day was 18855 in over 3183 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 2490.00 and intraday low of 2415.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 46228523.00.
