UltraTech Cement Ltd commences mining from Bicharpur Coal Block

Securing coal in any form is part of the normal day-to-day operations of the company. The company has commenced mining of coal from its Bicharpur Coal mines situated in Madhya Pradesh. This mine was procured in the coal block auctions in the year 2015. The mines have extractable reserves of ~29MMT.

The coal extracted from the mines will be used for the company's internal consumption and will to some extent reduce its dependence on coal purchases.

Shares of UltraTech Cement Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 7434.40 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 7392.80. The total number of shares traded during the day was 6598 in over 2434 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 7516.65 and intraday low of 7351.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 49084361.00.
