GMR Kamalanga Energy Ltd's divestment plan terminated

The long stop date for the proposed divestment of 100% stake in GMR Kamalanga Energy Ltd (1050 MW) to JSW Energy Limited has elapsed. Given the continued uncertainty due to Covid-19 pandemic, the parties have mutually agreed to terminate the said transaction. The Kamalanga plant is currently operating at good efficiency levels post the Covid lockdowns.

Shares of GMR INFRASTRUCTURE LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.21.9 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 22.2. The total number of shares traded during the day was 820143 in over 1402 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 23.1 and intraday low of 21.45. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 18219385.
