Indian Resort to consider Scheme of Amalgamation of the Company into The Indian Hotels Company

Indian Resort Hotels Ltd has announced that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company will be held on October 12, 2006, inter alia, to consider, a Scheme of Amalgamation of the Company into 'The Indian Hotels Company Ltd’. The draft scheme provides for the amalgamation of each of the Company, ‘Gateway Hotels And Getaway Resorts Ltd’, ‘Kuteeram Resorts Ltd’, ‘Asia Pacific Hotels Ltd’ and ‘Taj Lands End Ltd’ into ‘The Indian Hotels Company Ltd’ under section 391-394 of the Companies Act 1956.
