Construction Stocks hammered on bourses

If yesterday was the turn of metal stocks, today was the turn of construction stocks. Several constructions stocks closed lower during the day.

Unitech Ltd closed lower by 5% at Rs.9391.35 after hitting an all-time high of Rs.10379.9.

Nagarjuna Constructions closed lower by 3.2% at Rs.364.1 compared to its previous close of Rs.376.15. The stock hit a high of Rs.389 and low of Rs.344.2 during the day. 1017046 shares changed hands during the day resulting in a turnover of Rs.3656.89 Lakhs.

IVRCL Infrastructures & Projects Ltd closed lower by 1.7% at Rs.283.95. The stock touched an intraday low of Rs.246.15. The stock had a turnover of Rs.9077.27 Lakhs during the day with 3313962 shares changing hands. The stock hit a high of Rs.290 during the day.

Hindustan Constructions Ltd closed at Rs.157.85, down by Rs.4.8 (2.95%). Ansal Properties & Infrastructure Limited closed down by 4.75% (Rs.47.05) at Rs.944.25. Simplex Infrastructures Ltd closed lower by 0.88% at Rs.2374.05. The stock hit an intraday low of Rs.2160.

Gammon India Ltd closed lower by 3.95% at Rs.515.1. The stock hit an intraday low of Rs.451 and high of Rs.537.

Mahindra Gesco Developers Limited closed marginally lower at Rs.1071.8, down by 0.29%. But, the stock had wild swing during the day. The stock hit an intraday low of Rs.862.5 and high of Rs.1175.
