Rana Sugars to produce Ethanol

Rana Sugars Ltd has announced that the Company is diversifying into the production of Ethanol at its Distillery Plant which is situated in Distt. Amritsar, Punjab. The Company will add ethanol manufacturing unit in its Distillery Plant which is running successfully with a capacity of 60 KL per day. The diversification is to be done in view of the decision taken by the Govt. allowing mixing of 5% of ethanol with petrol. The Ethanol Unit is to be set up with marginal modifications in the existing Distillery Plant. With the implementation of the Ethanol project, the profitability of the Company will be improved considerably.
