Grasim Industries Chemical Division Plant production reduces 50%

Grasim Industries Ltd has announced that the shut-down for major repairs in the Captive Power Plant attached to the Company's Chemical Division at Nagda is still continuing and is likely to take another 3 to 4 months to complete the repairs.

Consequently there will be reduction in the production by about 50% in the Company's Chemical Division plant during the said period of 3 to 4 months. While this will impact the profitability of Chemical Division during Q2 & Q3, the Company does not expect any impact on its overall profitability for the Company as a whole on this account.
