Assam Company subsidiary Duncan Macneill enters into agreement with Torno Investments Ltd

Assam Company Ltd has announced that the Company's wholly owned subsidiary Duncan Macneill Natural Resources Ltd, U.K. (DMNRL), has entered into an agreement with Torno Investments Ltd to float a new company proposed to be called Duncan Macneill Torno Infrastructure Ltd (DMTIL).

The above mentioned company so formed called DMTIL shall be engaged in infrastructure projects in India, such as dams, power plants, highways, roads, railways, underground and buildings, on BOT basis, and/or on a concession basis, and/or on an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) basis and/or any other business structure and/or in the construction management, and/or in the supply of logistic and coordination services and/or any other services related to infrastructure projects and/or in any other activities that DMNRL and Torno Investments Ltd may agree on a case by case basis. Business activities in other countries may be mutually agreed, case by case basis.

Torno Investments Ltd is a Group Company of Torno Intenazionale Spa. Torno is one of the leading Italian Civil Engineering Company. Initially it specialized in the construction of large dams and hydroelectric power plant. Currently the activities of the company covers areas of Civil Engineering like metro, underground, roads, railways, harbours, airports, water supply sewerage system, civil buildings including construction of traditional electric and nuclear power plants.

Torno has successfully implemented a number of projects in Europe Africa and Asia. Some of those projects are:
