Cheviot Company allots Bonus Shares

Cheviot Company Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on September 23, 2006, inter alia, has also allotted 15,03,750 ordinary shares of Rs 10 each as Bonus Shares credited as fully paid up, to the holders of existing ordinary shares of the Company whose names appear in the Register of Members of the Company as on the record date i.e. on September 12, 2006, in the proportion of one new ordinary share for every two existing ordinary shares held by them in terms of the resolution passed by the members at the Annual General Meeting of the Company held on August 08, 2006.

Further the Company has informed that, after the allotment of aforesaid 15,03,750 bonus shares, the ordinary paid up share capital of the Company has increased from Rs 3,00,75,000/- to Rs 4,51,12,500/-.
