Ambuja Cement shareholders and creditors approve Amalgamation

With reference to the earlier announcement regarding shareholders & Creditors at the Court administered meetings held on September 13, 2006, approving the amalgamation of the Company with Gujarat Ambuja Cements Ltd, with requisite majority effective from January 01, 2006, Ambuja Cement Eastern Ltd has informed BSE that the Company has since submitted its application to the Bilaspur High Court for the grant of sanction to the amalgamation.
