GPCB grants stay over directions on Alembic plant in Gujarat

With reference to the earlier announcement dated August 28, 2006 regarding direction given by Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) to close the operation of the Company's bulk drug industrial plant at Panelav, District Panchmahal, Alembic Ltd has announced that vide its letter dated September 15, 2006, GPCB has granted stay over the aforesaid directions for 3 months by which time the Company will required to satisfy GPCB about the corrective actions taken by the Company as per GPCB's direction. The Operations at the Plant will commence very shortly.
