MRPL Q1 net profit at Rs.368.55 Crores

Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) has announced the following unaudited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 3685.50 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 2159.10 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 64780.80 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 75724.40 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The company has reported an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs.2.1 for the Quarter ending June 30, 2007 compared to Rs.1.23 for Quarter ending June 30, 2006.

The stock was trading at Rs.46.40, up by Rs.1.15 or 2.54%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.48.20 and low of Rs.45.10. The total traded quantity was 3477983 compared to 2 week average of 650989.
