Poona Dal acquires solvent extraction unit at Kurkumbh, Pune

Poona Dal & Oil Industries Ltd has announced that the Company had recently acquired a solvent extraction unit at Kurkumbh, Daund, Pune. The necessary legal compliances are nearing completion. The packing division of the said unit has already started operations. As regards the refinery and extraction divisions the balancing equipment required for starting normal operations are under installation and commercial production is expected to commence shortly.

The products of the Company are presently marketed in Maharashtra. After increase in capacities, due to acquisition of the unit, the Company has made elaborate plans to tap markets of neighbouring states also. Initial, market surveys conducted by the Company show that there is an encouraging response from the consumers.
