Shri S.K. Vasishta takes over as Managing Director, RailTel

Shri S.K. Vasishta, IRSSE has assumed charge of the post of Managing Director, RailTel Corporation of India Ltd., a Public Sector Undertaking of the Ministry of Railways, here today. He has taken charge from his predecessor Mr. KK Bajpeyee who superannuated on June 30, 2007 after putting in more than 36 years of service.

Shri Vasishta is an officer of the Indian Railways Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE) of 1972 batch. He started his carrier in January 1974 and has put in more than 33 years of service. He has headed various signalling and telecommunication departments of several Zonal Railways including Eastern Railway, Northern Railway and North Western Railway.
