Indo Asian Fusegear Ltd has announced that the Company has been awarded as "SME of the year" in the CNBC-TV 18 Emerging India Awards-2007. The Company won this award in the category of Auto, Ancillaries and Engineering.
Mr. V P Mahendru, CMD, of the Company, received the award from Hon. Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, at the glittering Emerging India Awards felicitation ceremony at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. The eminent guests who graced the occasion include Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. KV Kamath, MD & CEO, ICICI Bank, Mr. Haresh Chawla, Group CEO, TV 18 and Mr. Ravimohan, Managing Director and CEO, CRISIL Ltd. in the presence of elite of industrialists and renown personalities from the corporate world.
The awards attracted over 1.25 lac nominations from across the country - a record 185 per cent increase over last year across various categories. The jury members consisted of industry experts, Financial and Industrial leaders including ICICI Bank and CRISIL selected most outstanding of India's entrepreneurs.
The Emerging India award followed a three stage evaluation process covering wide range of SMEs across the nation. The second stage focused on evaluating sustainability of value creation for key stakeholders and involved an in depth study of the business models, competitive strength, management quality and strategic and implementation depth. The third stage was a jury round where the top contenders from each category are finalized to make their organisational presentation and final selection made.
