HMT reports Q4 net loss of Rs.163.50 million

HMT Ltd has announced the Audited financial results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2007. The results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2007 are as follows: The Company has posted a net loss of Rs 163.50 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to net profit of Rs 236.60 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. Total Income has decreased from Rs 1116.10 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 842.40 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

The results for the Year ended March 31, 2007 are as follows: The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 543.00 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 132.70 million for the year ended March 31, 2006. Total Income has decreased from Rs 2843.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 2508.70 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The stock closed on Friday at Rs.70.05, down by Rs.0.20 or 0.28%. The total traded quantity was 56853 compared to 2 week average of 33652. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.71.75 and low of Rs.69.65.
