GMR Hyderabad International Airport awards In-flight Catering Contracts to LSG Sky Chef and Sky Gourmet

GMR Infrastructure Ltd has informed that the Company's subsidiary Company i.e. GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has awarded two in-flight catering concessions to the prestigious and well-known groups LSG Sky Chef and Sky Gourmet. The contract is awarded for selling up world-class in-flight catering units in the upcoming international airport.

The in-flight catering concessions will be extensively involved in financing, constructing, operating and maintaining in-flight kitchen facilities for provision of in-flight kitchen services at GHIAL.

Both the in-flight catering units will cater to 7,500 meals each per day capacity in the initial phase.

LSG Sky Chef is a 100% subsidiary of Lufthansa. It is the world’s largest provider of airline catering and in-flight solution and caters 270 airlines from 190 customer service centers in 49 countries. It produces around 369 million airline meals per year. In India it is currently operating in Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Ltd. operates under the trade name of ‘sky gourmet and is one of the leading airline catering Companies in India with operations spread across Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Pune.
