Rajinikant starrer "Sivaji" all set for mega release, Corporates vie for a pie of profits

Rajinikanth starrer mega movie "Sivaji - The Boss" is all set for release on Friday - June 15, 2007. The movie is expected to create new record in Indian Film Industry.

The film has all the big names associated with it. The film is produced by AVM Productions and directed by noted director S.Shankar. Super Star Rajinikanth dons the lead role alongwith Shriya, Vivek, Manivannan, Vadivukarasi, Metti Oli Bose and Suman. The music was scored by AR Rahman with lyrics penned by four lyricists.

The film is being released in Chennai by GV Films Ltd and Abbirami Mega Mall. GV Films Ltd's shares have been in limelight after the company's announcement about the distribution deal. Another corporate whose shares are listed in NSE and BSE - Piramyd Saimira Theatres are releasing the movie in 252 screens across the world including 52 screens in Malaysia.

Super Star Rajini's fans have been yeawning for his movie. His last mega hit was Chandramukhi. The fans are gungho about the movie with banners and cut-outs covering most part of the theatres were the movie is being release.

Several Theatres in Chennai city including Udhayam Complex, Abbirami Mega Mall, Albert, AVM Rajeswari have blocked their theatres for the release of this movie.

The film has already created records at the box office with most costliest film with an outlay of nearly Rs.60 Crores. Rajinikanth also becomes the highest paid Indian actor.

Several theatres have planned for special shows from Thursday (June 14, 2007) night.

The release of the movie on Friday is expected to cause traffic congestion on arterial roads like 100 Feet Road, Poonamallee High Road, Mount Road, Arcot Road of Chennai city where the big theatres are located.
