Fortis Healthcare clarifies on news item regard DLF tie-up

With reference to the news item appearing in a leading financial daily titled "DLF, Fortis JV to set up hospitals, invest Rs 6,200 crore", Fortis Healthcare Ltd has clarified that, the Company has existing non - binding MOUs with some of the real estate developers including DLF Ltd for joint development of hospitals, medical centers etc. These MOUs have been in existence prior to the listing of the Company and the Prospectus of the Company dated April 25, 2007 had mentioned the same. Further, these MOUs have not resulted into definitive agreements so far.

Further, the Company has clarified that, the Company has not entered into any fresh MOU / joint venture with DLF recently.

The stock closed the day at Rs.91.60, down by Rs.0.75 or 0.81%. The total traded quantity was 428948 compared to 2 week average of 838352. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.93.50 and low of Rs.91.10.
