Global crude oil prices are trading slightly higher today amidst positive manufacturing data prints from US and China released yesterday. Meanwhile, Libya has decided to restart Brega port, which weighed on the prices and limited the gains. The front-month WTI future is currently trading at USD 105.1/bbl, flat around yesterday's close. Brent is trading at USD 110.2/bbl, compared to prior close of USD 109.9/bbl.
Gold prices are trading lower today on profit booking following substantial gains yesterday. However, a halt in ETF sell-off as reflected in SPDR Gold Trust holdings remaining unchanged at 913.52 tonnes provided some support and capped the downside. Spot gold is currently trading at USD 1371/oz, as compared to yesterday's close of USD 1376/oz. (17:00 IST)
