Key benchmark indices saw divergent trend on last trading day of the week after witnessing high intraday volatility.

Bank stocks dropped. In the pharma pack, Lupin scaled record high. IT stocks were boosted by good Q1FY14 results from TCS. Auto stocks were mostly higher. Two wheeler stocks rose. Capital Goods pivotals edged lower.

Markets expected to open flat, as investors cheered Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's victory in Sunday's upper house elections but China's decision last week to liberalize bank lending rates could impact sentiment.
