NETGEAR announces opening of its Global Engineering Centre in Bangalore

NETGEAR®, Inc. (NASDAQGM: NTGR) (www.netgear.com), a global networking company that delivers innovative products to consumers, businesses and service providers, announces the opening of its Global Engineering Centre in Bangalore. This Engineering Centre is the first research and development centre for NETGEAR in India, a part of its efforts it aims to promote efficient business development based on local needs in the rapidly growing Indian economy.

Announcing the Bangalore Engineering Centre Patrick Lo, CEO and Chairman of NETGEAR said "India is the perfect playground for NETGEAR. We already have a strong team of R&D engineers in India and plan to continue expansion. The R&D team is one of the fastest growing teams in our organization." He further adds, "We believe that Indian technological skills will help NETGEAR produce world class products. We also hope to increase NETGEAR’s presence in India in the future."

NETGEAR has a vibrant presence in all metropolitan cities in India and have atleast 40 to 50 partners in each of these metro locations.
