WPI Inflation stood at 4.86% for June 2013

The official Wholesale Price Index for All Commodities (Base: 2004-05 = 100) for the month June, 2013 rose by 0.6% to 172.7 (provisional) from 171.6 (provisional) for the previous month.

The annual rate of inflation, based on monthly WPI, stood at 4.86% (provisional) for the month of June, 2013 (over June, 2012) as compared to 4.70% (provisional) for the previous month and 7.58% during the corresponding month of the previous year. Build up inflation rate in the financial year so far was 1.53% compared to a build up rate of 2.30% in the corresponding period of the previous year.
