Selling pressure in late hours take indices down - Eastern Financiers

Selling pressure in the late hours of trade took indices lower in the third trading day of the week. Investors booked profit as they turned cautious ahead of the release of Fed's minutes of meeting and weak European cues.

Nifty ended at 5816.70, down 42.30 points or 0.72 percent and Sensex shut shop at 19294.12, down 145.36 points or 0.75 percent.

Sectoral indices ended mixed with gainers being out-numbered by losers.
