Indian Equities ended volatile session lower on Wednesday - Microsec

Indian equities ended the volatile session lower on Wednesday led by oil & gas, auto, realty, PSU and power stocks.

Nifty closed at 5816.70 down by 42.30points or 0.72% over the previous day closing of 5859.00 after witnessing a low of 5802.85 and a high of 5879.35. Sensex closed at 19294.12 down by 145.36 points or 0.75% over the previous day closing of 19439.48.It touched an intraday low of 19237.91 and high of 19505.93.

The markets' breadth was positive. Out of 2459 stocks traded 1145 stocks advanced, 1170 stocks declined and 144 stocks remained unchanged. In Sensex, Out of 30 stocks 08 stocks advanced and 22 stocks declined.

Among the sectors, BSE Oil & Gas, BSE Auto and BSE Realty were the main losers of the day which decreased by 1.82%, 1.50% and 1.32% respectively.

In BSE Oil & Gas sector, HPCL Cairn India, and BPCL decreased by 3.46%,2.90% and 2.83% respectively. In BSE Auto sector M&M, Bajaj Auto and Tata Motors declined by 2.63% 2.13% and 1.73% respectively. In BSE Realty sector, Indiabulls Real estate, Peninsula Land and DB Realty increased by 3.97% 3.45% and 3.16% respectively.
