Indian Markets likely to open soft and remain muted - TRANS SCAN

The Indian markets are likely to open on a softer note and remain muted tracking Asian markets, which pared most of their gains and were now trading mixed even though the US jobs data pointed to economic recovery. Indian markets ended Friday's trading session in the green zone as buying was seen in majority of the sectors like Oil & Gas, FMCG and Metal.

On Friday, US markets ended with sharp gains after robust jobs data pointed to economic growth and investors overcame concerns that the Federal Reserve may begin scaling back its stimulus plans.

Most Asian markets pared gains excluding Japanese shares which were trading in green after the US Dollar hit a six-week high of 101.54 yen after gaining 1.2 percent on Friday, its biggest one-day rise in a month.
