Indian Markets end volatile session on positive note - Cholamandalam Securities

Markets ended a volatile trading session on a positive note. Investor sentiment remained edgy after Federal Reserve hinted towards tapering its bond buying programme.

On the sectoral front, IT, Auto, Power and Oil & Gas were the top gainers, while Realty, Metal, Banking, Capital Goods and FMCG were the top losers.

The Eurozone's current account surplus narrowed sharply to EUR 19.5bn in Apri 2012 from EUR 25.9bn in March2013. However, over the 12 months to April 2013, the current account showed a higher surplus of EUR 166.5bn, compared with a surplus of EUR 40.5bn.

U.K budget deficit contracts in May 2013. U.K. public sector net borrowing decreased to GBP 8.8bn in May 2013 from GBP 15.6bn in May 2012.
