Indian Markets: Consumer durables, Metal, Realty, Oil & Gas, Banking stocks gain - Microsec

Indian markets settled flat with positive bias on Wednesday. Consumer durables, metal, realty, oil & gas and banking stocks gained. However, auto, power, PSU and healthcare witnessed a fall.

Nifty closed at 5822.25 up by 8.65points or 0.15% over the previous day closing of 5813.60 after witnessing a low of 5777.90 and a high of 5828.40. Sensex closed at 19245.70 up by 22.42 points or 0.12% over the previous day closing of 19223.28.It touched an intraday low of 19100.13 and high of 19274.26.

The markets' breadth was positive. Out of 2519 stocks traded 1261 stocks advanced, 1113 stocks declined and 145 stocks remained unchanged. In Sensex, Out of 30 stocks 15 stocks advanced and 15 stocks declined.

Among the sectors, BSE Consumer Durables, BSE Metal and BSE Realty were the main gainers of the day which increased by 1.96 %, 1.28% and 0.58% respectively.

In BSE Consumer Durables sector, Titan Inds, Symphony and Bajaj elect increased by 3.33%, 3.20% and 2.54% respectively. In BSE Metal sector Sesa Goa, Hindalco Inds and Sterlite Inds advanced by 2.82%,2.66% and 2.65% respectively. In BSE Realty sector Sobha Dev, Indiabulls Real estate and Unitech increased by 5.19% 4.07% and 1.37% respectively.
