Borderless Access' Ruchika Gupta bags CII Southern Region Emerging Entrepreneurs award

Ms. Ruchika Gupta, President of Borderless Access, an independent company under the Cross-Tab Group, that specializes in providing online panel services in emerging markets, was conferred with the CII Southern Region Emerging Entrepreneurs award at Hotel Taj Krishna, Hyderabad, on March 23, 2013.

Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, Government of India - Dr D. Purandeswari was the Chief Guest for the function and handed over the award.

Over 400 applications were considered for the awards, of which 39 were shortlisted. The shortlist was evaluated on parameters such as vision, execution excellence, ability to build & institute e, personal leadership abilities, innovation in business model, impact on society, sustainability as well as scalability of the enterprises. On the basis of this, 8 winners (including Ms. Ruchika Gupta) were chosen.

CII announced her as the winner for "innovative global delivery model in online panel and market research." They also stated that by "cutting across geographical and cultural boundaries, you have become a leader in online panel and market research even in hard-to-reach markets around the world, having reached out to 10 countries since inception in 2008. You have pioneered the usage of mobile applications for data collection projects. This has become possible only because of your innovative business models and focus on exploring the unexplored, emerging market segments.

Elated about winning the award, Ruchika Gupta said, "I am extremely honoured to receive this award from CII Southern Region. The award recognizes my personal efforts and my team's in making Borderless Access a leader in the online panel industry. This award will further motivate me and strengthen my commitment to take Borderless Access to greater heights."

Ms. Ruchika Gupta also participated in a panel discussion "Entrepreneurs - Catalysts of Growth, Challenges & Opportunities" that was moderated by Kris Gopalakrishnan.

Eminent personalities like Dr. D. Purandeswari, Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Government of India, Mr. Adi Godrej, President, CII & Chairman, Godrej Group, Mr. Kris Gopalakrishnan, President (Designate), CII & Executive Co-Chairman, Infosys Ltd. were some of the key speakers at the conference.

Ruchika Gupta is a founder member of Cross-Tab, a company started in 2000and a pioneer in providing market intelligence and offshore market research services to companies globally. In 2008, she set up Borderless Access, an independent company under the Cross-Tab group that specializes in providing online panel services in emerging markets. She has led the company to over 50% growth, year on year, since inception.
