Vijaya Bank Q4 net profit at Rs.636.50 million, recommends 10% final dividend

Vijaya Bank has announced the Audited results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2007. The results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2007: The Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 636.50 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to net loss of Rs 345.30 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 6685.50 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 8881.70 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

The results for the Year ended March 31, 2007: The Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 3313.40 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 1268.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 25955.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 30979.00 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The Board of Directors of the Bank at its meeting held on April 30, 2007, inter alia, has recommended a final dividend @ 10% in addition to Interim dividend of 10% paid during the year.

The stock was trading at Rs.49.25, up by Rs.0.35 or 0.72%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.50.75 and low of Rs.48.30. The total traded quantity was 615602 compared to 2 week average of 271931.
