Markets rally on last day of the week - Eastern Financiers

Markets rallied on the last day of the week aided by above estimated third quarter earnings by Reliance Power and Maruti Suzuki among others, along with anticipation of an eased policy stance by Reserve Bank next week.

Broader indices outperformed the benchmarks marking gains of around 1-2%, while the benchmarks clambered close to a percent. Nifty culminated the day above the 6050 mark at 6074.65 with gains of 55.30 points and the Sensex added 179.75 points that parked the index above the 20100 level at 20103.53.
