UAVs deployed in Chhattisgarh for corroborating ground level reports on naxal cadres’ movement

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have been deployed in Chhattisgarh on a trial basis for corroborating ground level reports on the movement of naxal cadres, wherever possible. This is part of the Government’s strategy to deal with the naxal problem. The strategy amongst other things includes socio-economic development, better policing with hi-tech gadgets etc.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Home, Shri Sriprakash Jaiswal in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.
