Western India Shipyard extends last date for response from debenture holders

Western India Shipyard Ltd has announced that Letters of Intimation dated July 15, 2007 were posted to the Concerned small debenture holders on August 01, 2006 to enable them to exercise the desired option under the Scheme of Arrangement confirmed by the order of the High Court dated June 23, 2006.

In view of the poor response from the debenture holders and the holiday season, the Company has extended the last date for exercising the option from August 16, 2006 to August 31, 2006 in the best interest of the small debenture holders of the Company.
