Infotech Enterprises Ltd has announced that the Company through its wholly owned subsidiary InfoTech Enterprises America, Inc., has signed an agreement with IBM to jointly provide services to assist clients across the globe in accelerating the deployment of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Engineering solutions for the manufacturing Industry.
The new agreement provides a framework with the objective or offering the highest level or consulting, solutions and Integration services.
The combination of IBMs global manufacturing industry knowledge, large middleware portfolio and customer relationships along with Infotech´s prominent engineering and consulting engineering expertise, will enable Infotech and IBM to provide the broadest and deepest professional consulting and solutions skills to address a wide range of PLM implementation and integration needs.
The agreement calls for IBM and the Infotech to provide project management enterprise integration, design engineering and software technology capabilities to support a wide range of PLM application platforms, ranging from CAE, CAD / CAM / PDM, to SCM and MRO. Together, IBM and the Infotech will leverage their combined global delivery capabilities and expertise to suit specific client and market requirements.
According to the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), global spending for engineering services is currently estimated at $750 billion per year and by 2020, the figure is expected to increase to more than $1 trillion.
IBM and Infotech together are well placed to capture this opportunity, helping their customers with comprehensive strategies, solutions, implementations and "right sourced" services.
