Wipro allots 41245 equity shares

The Administrative Committee of Wipro Ltd's Board of Directors vide Circular resolution dated June 16, 2011 resolved to issue and allot 20933 equity shares of Rs. 2/- each pursuant to exercise of the stock options by the eligible employees under Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2004 and Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2005.

The Administrative Committee of the Wipro Ltd's Board of Directors vide circular resolution dated June 16, 2011 allotted 20312 equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- to JP Morgan Chase Bank, the Company's depository as underlying shares in respect of ADRs to be issued and allocated to the purchasers, pursuant to the exercise of the stock options granted to the employees under the Company's ADS Restricted Stock Unit Plan- 2004.

The stock closed the day at Rs.409, down by Rs.6.80 or 1.64%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.419 and low of Rs.408.

The total traded quantity was 0.89 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 0.64 lakhs.
