Max India allots 24079700 Equity Shares

The Board of Directors of Max India Ltd allotted 24,079,700 (Twenty Four million Seventy Nine thousand and Seven hundred) equity shares of Rs. 2/- each at a premium of Rs. 214.75/- per equity share, on conversion of 6,019,925 Compulsorily Convertible Debentures of Rs. 867/- each ("CCDs") to Xenok Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of GS Capital Partners VI Fund, L.P., on June 10, 2011. With the aforesaid allotment the paid up share capital of the Company stood increased to Rs. 51,31,28,220/-, effective June 10, 2011.

The stock closed the day at Rs.179.20, up by Rs.12.55 or 7.53%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.183.80 and low of Rs.165.05.

The total traded quantity was 10.02 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 0.33 lakhs.
