AstraZeneca Pharma defers bonus debentures issue

AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on August 28, 2006 has deferred consideration of the proposal for issue by the Company of secured fully paid bonus debentures from its General Reserve in terms of a Scheme of Arrangement between the Company and its shareholders pursuant to Section 391 read with Section 393 of the Companies Act, 1956.
