Significantly Expands Genpact’s ERP Offerings to Global Clients
New York, NY / Rotterdam, Netherlands (March 5, 2007): Genpact, a global provider of business and technology services, today announced it has acquired ICE Enterprise Solutions, a European SAP service provider established in 1996. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ICE is an SAP Services Partner, Utilities Partner, and BW/SEM Partner in the Netherlands and an SAP Partner and StreamServe Partner in Spain. ICE specializes in serving large European multinationals in the manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, insurance, and financial services industries. Genpact operates a wide range of business processes from its global delivery platform for clients around the world including GE, Nissan, Wachovia, Kimberly-Clark, Genworth, Air Canada, Penske, Linde Group and more than two-dozen other global enterprises in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Genpact President & CEO Pramod Bhasin said the acquisition "perfectly matches" the needs of today’s global clients who are looking for business process service providers with broad and deep technology capabilities. "This acquisition further strengthens our ability to provide seamless, end-to-end solutions for our customers," he said.
ICE Founder & CEO Cok Volgering said, "We are impressed by Genpact’s commitment to quality and this industry, as well as its open and embracing culture. We are excited to be part of a growing enterprise that has so much promise for SAP clients worldwide."
"This acquisition is in line with our strategy of providing solutions for our customers that combine platforms, business intelligence and process excellence," said Tajinder Vohra, Genpact Senior Vice President - Software, IT and Supply Chain Services. Genpact has ERP, application and IT professionals based in India, China, the UK, and the US, and is also one of the world’s largest providers of Oracle E-business suite solutions, he noted.
"To be competitive, global enterprises need providers who can partner with them on the whole spectrum of business and technology services," said Bhasin. "The business impact comes by
applying Lean Six Sigma process rigor across the board."
"It is the power of process excellence that ensures success in technology implementations," added Genpact Executive Vice President Tiger Tyagarajan. "That’s why we are so excited to join forces with such a well-established SAP partner as ICE."
Genpact was created by GE and became a separate company in early 2005. In the past two years, Genpact has grown its workforce to more than 27,000 professionals. Services are delivered from 24 operations centers in seven countries, plus Holland and Spain with the acquisition of ICE. Genpact applies quality methods to all its ERP implementations and has more than 2,000 Six Sigma-trained Green Belts and 500 Black Belts and Master Black Belts.
