Bayer CropScience board approves cessation of manufacture of products at Thane

Bayer CropScience Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on August 24, 2006, has accorded their approval to the proposal for the planned cessation of manufacture of products of both, the Company and Bayer Healthcare, at Thane in the course of 2007.

This is a strategic decision to enhance synergies in their respective production activities for the India market. However, it is clarified that the cessation of manufacturing and related activities of the Company´s and Bayer Healthcare products at Thane is not a closure of the Company´s undertaking.
