Prudential ICICI Tax Plan declares 50% dividend

Prudential ICICI Tax Plan has declared a dividend of Rs.5 per unit on face value of Rs.10 per unit. The record date for this is February 9, 2007. The unitholders who hold units in the scheme or buy units before February 9 are eligible for this dividend.

The NAV of the scheme as on February 2, 2007 was Rs.27.79. The NAV of the scheme will fall to the extent of dividend paid and statutory levy, if any after the record date.

The fund is one of the top performer in Tax Plan category. The fund has given returns of 24.72% since inception, 25.0726% in the last 1 year and 52.5922% in the last 3 years. The fund had recently declared dividend of 25% on November 10, 2006. The investments under this fund is exempted under Section 80 C of Income tax act.
