Patni Computer Systems allots 40660 equity shares under Stock Option Plan

Patni Computer Systems Ltd has announced that the Compensation & Remuneration Committee of Directors of the Company vide resolution dated May 06, 2010 has allotted 40,660 equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- each to certain employees / director including 5,250 underlying equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- each to Bank of New York as Depository in connection with the issuance of 2,625 American Depositary Shares (ADSs) pursuant to the exercise of ADR Linked options.

The stock was trading at Rs.557, down by Rs.10.40 or 1.83%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.580 and low of Rs.556.45.

The total traded quantity was 22500 compared to 2 week average of 148724.
