Areva T&D India to transfer non T&D business to Alstom Industrial Products

Areva T&D India Ltd has announced that pursuant to the Calcutta High Court’s Order dated June 28, 2006, the Company has filed Scheme of Arrangement for transfer of non T&D business to ALSTOM Industrial Products Ltd with the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal, Kolkata on August 14, 2006. Thus, the "Effective Date" of the Scheme of Arrangement will be August 14, 2006.
