Weston forays into Maharashtra, opens office in Bhiwandi

New Delhi – March 3, 2010 Weston, the consumer electronic brand in a bid to have national presence for its various home appliances has started its full time operations in the state of Maharastra by opening its sales and marketing office in Bhiwandi near Mumbai. The office is fully contained for taking care of sales, service, supplies and any other customer needs.

"Weston intents to set up a distribution channel in the entire state, process for which has already been initiated. Three distributors are already in place Nasik, Palghar and Mumbai. The effort level is to have a pan Maharashtra presence. Besides this the office will cater to Croma, Reliance Retail and Big Bazar who are already our clients." Said Mr Sunil Sethi, COO, Consumer Electronics and appliances, Weston.

"We are going to launch our entire range of Weston products i.e Colour Televisions, DVD players, Washing Machines ,LCD and Washing Machines in a period of next three months. We are sure addition of this prosperous West state Weston will be able to add 10% to its revenue" said Mr Sethi.

"company has seven manufacturing units for Colour Television, DVD, Air Conditioner, Microwave oven, washing machine and Set up box, two in Noida, three in Dehradun, one in Mohali and one in Jammu all equipped with latest manufacturing equipments to meet international standards. The new manufacturing unit in Tamil Naidu for LCD is under construction and so is the sheet metal and moulding unit at Dehradun" said Mr Sethi, Vice Chairman, marketing Weston.

"At present For our Consumer Electronics Division which consists of CTV and DVD and appliances we have a total of 140 Distributors and 3000 dealers in India. WESTON products are available at 3000 strong dealer channel." Mr Sethi added.
