Wipro allots 48315 Equity shares

Wipro Ltd has announced that Administrative Committee of the Company's Board of Directors vide their circular resolution dated February 23, 2010 resolved to issue and allot 46975 equity shares of Rs. 2/- each pursuant to exercise of the stock options by the eligible employees under Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2004 and Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2005.

The Board also allotted 1340 equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- to JP Morgan Chase Bank, the Company's depository as underlying shares in respect of ADRs to be issued and allocated to the purchasers, pursuant to the exercise of the stock options granted to the employees under the Company's ADS Restricted Stock Unit Plan-2004.

The stock was trading at Rs.674, up by Rs.2.95 or 0.44%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.680 and low of Rs.670.

The total traded quantity was 38601 compared to 2 week average of 89295.
