Ceekay Daikin approves allotment of 1975200 shares

Ceekay Daikin Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on January 21, 2010 has approved the allotment of 19,75,200 Equity Shares of Rs. 10/- each at a premium of Rs. 52/- per share to (i) Exedy Corporation, (ii) Mr. Mahesh B. Kothari & (iii) Mr Pradeep B. Chinai on preferential basis.

The allotment is made in terms of the above offers and subject to the provision of SEBI (ICDR) Regulation, 2009 issued by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Listing Agreement signed with the stock exchange of Mumbai, guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India and other applicable laws.

The stock was trading at Rs.100.80, up by Rs.4.80 or 5%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.100.80 and low of Rs.91.25.

The total traded quantity was 44756 compared to 2 week average of 34015.
