January 6, 2010: India's Swine Flu toll increased to 1035 with reports of 6 new deaths. Six deaths (Maharashtra-2, Gujarat-3 and Rajasthan-1) have been reported during the day.
On 6th January 2010, 16717 passengers have been screened at 11 Airports with 37 counters manned by 93 doctors and 54 paramedics. Total passengers screened till date is 10273939.
Till date, samples from 116072 persons have been tested for Influenza A H1N1 in Government Laboratories and a few private Laboratories across the country and 27522(23.7%) of them have been found positive.
Out of 99 cases reported during the day two are having history of foreign travel and all the rest are indigenous cases.
The cumulative number of samples tested positive in Delhi including those tested in the private labs have been reconciled with GNCT of Delhi and numbers corrected accordingly.
Reports of Ninteen earlier deaths (Delhi-10, Gujarat-5, Rajasthan-3, and Madhya Pradesh-1) have been recieved from the health authorities of the respective state and are reflected in the cumulative total.
